Welcome to PES!
Phillipsburg Elementary School, located at 525 Warren Street is centrally located in the Town of Phillipsburg. The school day officially begins at 8:40 AM and ends at 2:40 PM. Students are welcomed into the building at 8:10 for breakfast.
At PES, we strive to cultivate Liner Leaders who are kind, honest, resilient, motivated, and responsible. We begin each day with connection before content while classes host Morning Meetings. There are student leadership opportunities along with intentional opportunities and experiences for students to use their voice. Students receive 90 minutes of ELA Reading & Writing, 30 minutes of ELA Lab, 60 minutes of Math Core, 30 minutes of Math Lab, and 30 minutes of integrated Social Studies daily. Students experience 30 minutes of Science daily along with a 45 minute Science specialty block per week. Students also receive 45 minutes of Health or World Language, Physical Education, Art or Dance, Vocal Music or Instrumental Music, and Media/STEM each week. An array of after-school clubs are offered for students to extend their day and their learning.
Every day also includes a 20-minute recess where students can explore our outside campus which features a playground with multiple climbers and swings, a basketball court, Gaga pit, and plenty of wide-open space to
run and play. Our outdoor area provides a safe and engaging environment where students can develop their physical skills, socialize, and enjoy fresh air.
